13. REFORMED CHURCH no33 M. Eminescu Street

The Reformed Church was built in 1840 on a piece of land purchased by the Reformed community. The design of the church was made by the Austrian architect Joseph Hoffer in Classical Baroque style; he combined Baroque with some elements of Greek architecture. On the facade, over the four simple pillars the triangular-shaped tympanon was erected.

The main entrance is typical for the Baroque style; the church tower, renovated last in 2004, bears ornamentation elements in this style. The church was enlarged by a prayer hall designed by architect Ludovic Szántay, over which the choir and the organ are placed. In the vestibule of the church there are two commemorative plaques.
